500m³ Dual membrane biogas bag for biogas plant
Product Description
The MDS gasholder can be installed on the ground, typically configured as a ¾ sphere, or mounted on top of an anaerobic digester or tank, serving both as a robust cover and storage vessel. The 500m³ Dual membrane biogas bag for biogas plant comprises an outer and inner membrane; the outer membrane acts as a protective layer that is consistently maintained under pressure to withstand wind and snow loads, regardless of extreme climatic conditions. The inner membrane expands and contracts beneath the outer layer in response to variations in gas generation and consumption. When the dual membrane gas balloon is ground-mounted on a concrete foundation, it features an additional bottom membrane that seals the gas storage area to the foundation.
Each gasholder is designed in compliance with stringent European and U.S. standards concerning materials of construction, structural integrity, storage capacity, snow load resistance, wind load tolerance, operating pressure specifications, and fire resistance criteria. Furthermore, all 500m³ Dual membrane biogas bag for biogas plant are custom-designed and manufactured according to specific project requirements regarding size, configuration (e.g., dome-shaped, rectangular, square, donut-shaped), and strength using high-quality PVC-coated polyester fabrics. Product design principles prioritize system safety while ensuring reliability and ease of control.
The engineering behind each 500m³ Dual membrane biogas bag for biogas plant design is tailored to meet individual project needs while incorporating MONDES’s extensive expertise regarding external forces acting upon these structures as well as appropriate material selection for longevity. This commitment is evidenced by over 1,800 successfully operating membrane gasholders worldwide—a benchmark unmatched by any other manufacturer in this field.
We offer innovative solutions that are cost-effective yet durable for addressing your unique challenges.

Material Features
The biogas storage tank membranes are highly tear resistant polyester fabrics with a special PVC surface treatment and acrylate varnish. The fabric is also resistant to the impact of the different biogas ingredients and the white colour of its external membrane has a highly reflective effect. The construction and dimensions of the double membrane biogas storage tank comply with all relevant standards.
Advantage
Compared with Chinese traditional biogas storage (wet-type, dry-type), membrane storage system has the advantage as follows:
